7th Grade 1985/86:
Run-DMC – Raising Hell:
Beastie Boys – Licensed To Ill
Who didn’t have at least one of these albums? I listened to both of these non stop for months and still know just about every lyric from both albums. Run DMC’s Peter Piper is still one of the best.

6th Grade 1984/85:
Run-DMC – King Of Rock:
While the other guys at my school were listening to Van Halen and dreaming of one day leaning against gray primered Camaros and chugging cans of Budweiser and the girls were hugging their New Edition records, trying to cool it now. At the same time I was only interested in the Kings From Queens.
5th Grade 1983/84:
Herbie Hancock’s Rockit/ Chaka Khan’s I Feel For You
I brought these two songs on 45’s to a party we had in the classroom. It was Valentines Day or something, maybe. I might as well have played one of my father’s George Carlin records from the reception I got.
